Last week we discussed our APM Super Heroes – who they are
and what they do. Heroes would not be heroes without the dark forces that
oppose them. To know good, we must also be able to recognize evil. So what are
these “villains” of application performance that our heroes do battle with?
Some are inherent characteristics of modern applications, while others spring
from poor APM practices.

Failure to see the problem is a huge issue. It's true, end-users sometimes might not complain or mention an issue. You shouldn't be waiting for a complaint, you should be proactive to prevent them in the first place.
