The DevOps movement came into existence to overcome the "Wall of Confusion," which impedes application release agility and leaves Development and Operation teams at odds. The DevOps community has been focused on release automation and best practices around systems engineering. Frameworks like Chef and Puppet create more structure for the release process and are helping DevOps teams overcome the Wall of Confusion.
